Tour Introduction
You have come to a vast and remarkable land—Alaska's Copper River Country. Let us help you make the most of your short time here by taking you and a few others on an exploration of the wonders and unique attractions of this fascinating place. Led by an experienced and knowledgeable guide, ride in our van through the region’s heart to Wellwood Nature Preserve.

Enjoy walking our trails (a little over a mile round trip) and share a personalized presentation in our wall tent.  Feel the furs of local animals, examine signs of their presence in the forest, and explore the dynamic processes at work in this still-wild world. See the forces that shape its mountains and extraordinary volcanoes. View the gorge of the glacial Tonsina River and investigate the role of salmon that teem in its waters. Understand the history and impacts of humans, latecomers to this ancient realm.

This is a hands-on, interactive, small-group adventure (12 visitors or less).  Receive a personalized tour and feel free to ask as many questions as you want.  This tour is unlike anything else offered in the Copper River Basin.
